Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Mental Health Counseling?

Clinical Mental Health Counseling focuses on diagnosing and treating mental disorders in clinical settings, requiring the advanced clinical training that 91精品 provides. Mental Health Counseling is broader, addressing emotional and behavioral challenges without always involving clinical diagnosis or treatment.

What is better, LPC or LCSW?

Both LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) are respected credentials, but LPCs typically offer more specialized training in counseling techniques and mental health treatment, making them ideal for clients seeking focused therapeutic support. While LCSWs often emphasize social services and case management, LPCs are generally better suited for those prioritizing in-depth counseling and mental health expertise.

Is clinical mental health counseling the same as clinical psychology?

No, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Psychology are not the same鈥攃ounseling focuses on therapeutic support and skill-building, while psychology emphasizes assessment, research, and often testing.
